Colossus Productions asked us to create the overarching branding and logo for the cutting edge 3D film they were shooting with David Attenborough and the Natural History Museum – ALIVE (premiering on Sky One on New Years Day 2014.) The film sees David exploring the museum after dark and discovering all of the long extinct inhabitants of the museum magically coming to life around him.
The logo and branding needed to explain this fantastical idea in a single mark. We created an “A” within which the iconic Diplodocus would sit – the twist being that everything that sat inside the “A” was extinct, everything outside became a 3D-Dino-Reality.
The project continued with the development of an App to accompany the 3D film. Our good friends Arnold and Pearn who created the App from scratch asked if we could assist them with all things animated and branded. So we created an opening animation featuring David Attenborough himself explaining the App to users. As well as keeping the branding consistent throughout. The App gained quite a bit of press coverage with both iTunes and Starbucks featuring us as App of the week.

We created a secondary logo for marketing purposes that tied together the whole brand in one lock up that was applied to the Book, DVD and the above the line press campaign.
